The latest figures show that more than 16% live below the poverty level.  As prices continue to rise, many working families struggle to meet basic needs from paycheck to paycheck. Any minor disruption may cause a household to face disconnection of utilities, heating/cooling sources, or eviction and homelessness.

A few dollars from your budget could significantly impact someone experiencing a critical situation.  Financial assistance provided to clients covers necessities (rent/mortgage, utilities, life-assisting prescription medications). Direct assistance provides nonperishable foods and clothing.
